    • The Risk: The hardener (Part B) reacts with moisture in the air. This can cause clouding (blushing), a whitish haze, excessive bubbling, and in severe cases, a complete curing failure, leaving the resin tacky or soft permanently.

    • The Solution: Absolute sealing and storage in a dry environment.

  2. Improper Temperature

    • Heat: Accelerates the chemical reaction in both the resin and hardener, significantly shortening your pot time (working time), and can cause pre-curing or clumping inside the bottle.

    • Cold: Causes the resin and hardener to become thick and viscous, making accurate measurement and thorough mixing difficult, and leading to excessive air bubbles.

    • The Solution: Store in a stable, moderate temperature environment.

The "Golden Rules" for Storing JANCHUN Epoxy Resin

1. Seal Tightly. Every Time.
This is the most important rule. Immediately after use, screw the caps on tightly. Ensure the bottle threads and rim are clean and free of residue, which can prevent a proper seal. We recommend wiping the rim with anhydrous isopropyl alcohol before closing.

2. Control Temperature & Avoid Light
The ideal storage temperature range is 15°C - 25°C (59°F - 77°F). Keep your resin in a cool, dark, and dry place, like a cupboard or storage closet.

  • NEVER store in direct sunlight, garages, or sheds where temperatures fluctuate widely.

  • NEVER place near heaters, ovens, or other heat sources.

  • Winter Note: If your workshop is cold, do not store resin there. Bring it into a climate-controlled indoor space.

3. Store Upright and Label Clearly
Always keep the bottles upright. This prevents potential leakage and makes them easier to handle. Keep the original labels intact to easily identify the product type and batch number.

4. Decant Large Volumes for Longevity
If you purchase resin in large bulk containers, consider dividing it into several smaller, perfectly dry, and airtight containers. This minimizes the exposure of the entire volume to air and moisture every time you open it.

5. Practice "First-In, First-Out" Inventory
Manage your resin stock like a professional kitchen. Place newly purchased containers at the back, and use older or previously opened containers first. This ensures all your materials are used within their optimal shelf life.

  • Summer: Focus on keeping cool. If ambient temperatures consistently exceed 30°C (86°F), consider storing unopened containers in an air-conditioned room.

  • Winter: Focus on warmth. Resin becomes very thick when cold. Before use, always bring sealed Part A (resin) and Part B (hardener) to a warm room (around 25°C / 77°F) and let them sit for several hours. NEVER use open flames, place bottles in hot water, or heat them in a microwave!
